Interlibrary Loans Currently on Loan

Due Dates

ILL material due dates are decided by the library that owns the material, not locally. Many libraries across the country are working to extend due dates of currently loaned ILL materials. Review your library account to check your due dates for any materials currently on loan. If your due date has not been extended, request a renewal. In general, libraries are being very generous with granting renewals.

If you receive a notification from the Library informing you of an overdue, lost material, or a charge to your account please respond to the email to discuss your options. It is likely that we can contact the lending library to renew the material and waive fees.

Returns

The best course of action right now is to stay at home and return your library books when threat levels recede. If you do have an overdue ILL, we will work with you and the lending library to renew your overdue ILL material.

New Interlibrary Loan Requests

Overview: At this time, you can continue using the A. C. Clark Library’s interlibrary loan services. Physical loans requests are not being processed at this time. Electronic article requests may be processed with a slight delay.

ILL relies on a network of libraries regionally and nationally to supply you with the materials you need. Many libraries across the country have closed their doors and asked employees to work from home. Some libraries are still able to supply electronic articles, but every day fewer and fewer libraries are able to send physical materials. Minitex, the resource sharing service provider that runs our ILL delivery service and supplies us with a majority of the physical and electronic materials requested through ILL, is closed until March 27th
