Throughout the past year, various organizations have celebrated the 100th anniversary of the ratification of the Nineteenth Amendment of the United States Constitution by compiling new collections and creating digital and in-person displays. The A. C. Clark Library is lucky to receive one of these displays from the National Archives, a pop-up display titled Rightfully Hers: American Women and the Vote. This guide is the online accompaniment to the Rightfully Hers display, available to view on the Library's main floor through December 18, 2020.
This guide will point you to more resources about the Nineteenth Amendment of the United States Constitution and the Women's Suffrage Movement. The Nineteenth Amendment, ratified in August of 1920, reads:
The right of citizens of the United States to vote shall not be denied or abridged by the United States or by any State on account of sex.
