Greeting! I'm Tammy Bobrowsky, a librarian at BSU. (And those are actual rare books in our collections in the photo above!)
This is a guide with recommendations of A.C. Clark Library resources for research in literary studies. Please reach out with your questions--I'm here to help! You can email me or use our 24/7 Chat resource (below) to ask your question to other librarians.
For other options, visit us here.
Before you start your research: To access the A.C. Clark Library's online resources, you'll need to authenticate as a BSU student with your Star ID information. Information on activating your Star ID or changing your Star ID password can be found here.
While your assignment or the type of research you're doing may differ, the following resources should be helpful in supplementing your work outside of your primary text, or provide you with different lenses or critical theories in which to analyze the text/work/author.
If you need to search more comprehensively, also try these library databases which are great for literary research:
Since many of you will be doing your research from a distance, and not on the BSU campus, please note that we can deliver books to your home address.
And of course, it's essential that you cite your sources appropriately. Most often, the MLA style is the preferred style for literary research papers, but you can find other citation style help on this resource as well.
