Personal Librarian 2021-2022

Greetings and welcome to Bemidji State University! We're glad you're here! If you've come to this page, it means that I'm your Personal Librarian for the school year.

  • I am the personal librarian for those of you in the following courses:
    • UNIV  1180 -02 (M 12-12:50)   TRIO/SSS College Orientation | Sarah Young

What does this mean? I'll be the person who you can turn to with questions about using the library resources for research in your courses. I can provide personalized assistance for “all things Library” through the following:

  • Give you a tour of the library.
  • Help you brainstorm a research topic.
  • Help you create research strategies.
  • Help you identify library resources (articles and books) and services, including in-depth assistance on navigating library databases.

How to reach me: Click on Email Me in my profile on the left, or catch me on Chat. Or visit! I'm in the library, Room 304 C.

If I'm not available via Chat, you can contact other librarians for assistance as well! Visit our Ask a Question page.

About me: I've been a librarian here at BSU since 2004. I was a student worker here in the BSU Library, as well, back in the 90s, so I've been around for a while! I am passionate about the power of information for fueling knowledge, equity, and inclusion, and telling our stories.
